This Week in Blockchain Venture Capital – Oct. 3

TEMCO Labs, a supply chain management product for small to medium-sized businesses powered by the RSK Blockchain, recently closed a seed round of an undisclosed size. Notably, Korea Investment Partners (KIP), the largest venture capital firm in South Korea, made its first blockchain investment in TEMCO Labs.

According to Jong Hyun Kim, a financial technology investment board member of Korea Investment Partners,

“TEMCO is more than prepared to disrupt contemporary supply chain process.”

DrumG, a New York City-based company building next-generation enterprise distributed-ledger based applications for the global financial services industry, recently closed a $6.5 million Series A round. The only participant in the round was Brooklyn-based venture studio ConsenSys. DrumG was founded by Tim Grant, R3’s former head of business development, and is also adding Joseph Lubin, Ethereum co-founder and ConsenSys founder and CEO, to its board of directors.

Gospel Technology, a London-based startup building a secure, trusted data distribution platform for an enterprise-based on blockchain technology, recently closed a £5 million Series A round. Participants in the round included Salesforce Ventures and IA Ventures. According to Alex Kayyal, a partner at Salesforce Ventures, 

We are excited to support Gospel’s vision of advancing enterprise data sharing through blockchain, and we look forward to having them work more closely with our customers.”

Crypto Briefing, an Albany-based global blockchain research and media company, recently closed a $2 million seed round. Participants in the round included Youbi Capital, Fenbushi Capital, DHVC, NEO Global Capital, PreAngel, Block72, Goopal, Lucen Tech Accelerator, WANFund, and Game Theory Group. Crypto Briefing recently turned one year old and is well known in the cryptoasset community both for its deep research into early-stage ventures and its direct and impartial news.
